Hey there! So after being MIA for a while, I felt kind of inspired in writing about another very important hobbie of mine: reading. I have been very busy lately, so I haven’t really had enough time to fully do this, but I have indeed dug into a few pretty interesting books that I would love to share with you guys.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo|This is the first book from a series of three; most of you may recognize this story from the movie based on it (I was actually kind of late on that, so I started reading the book before watching it). So in case you haven’t seen or heard about it yet, it’s based on the lives of Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist, a young hacker and a journalist who end up working together to solve the mystery of a disappeared young lady who has been missing for forty years. It’s fascinating thriller by Stieg Larsson that will keep you up reading all night.
Food Styling for Photographers|I’ve always been passionate about food styling, probably because it combines two of my favorite things ever 😛 I did receive some tips back in college when taking TV Production classes, but I definitely wanted to learn more about lighting, colors and textures. So I picked this books that did actually provide a lot of the information I wanted in a simple and precise way. The authors are Linda Bellinghan and Jane Ann Bybee.
The Girl on the Train | This is one of last year’s best sellers so I’m quite sure you have already heard about it. I’m not done with this story yet, I’m still about 65% of it and I can’t wait to find out what happens next. It’s a psychological thriller by Paula Hawkins narrated by three characters: Rachel, Megan and Anna. The drama begins when one of them disappears and we try to figure out the real story behind that. I believe the movie will come out this Fall where the actress Emily Blunt will be impersonating Rachel.
What’s your favorite book so far? Any recommendations?
